DOs and DON’Ts: Trends For The Fall

If you are constantly interested to keep in touch with the latest fashion trends for the upcoming seasons, this blog here should help you figure out what sort of lines should you be following. First off, trendsetters recommend you invest in outfits that are able to draw all the attention when walking into a room. Oversized parkas and attractive leathers or furs that are bold are some of the main highlight of the fall. Make sure the rest of your outfit is simple and also keep in mind that experimenting tons of colors and textures or various lengths is highly recommended. This fall is all about making a bold fashion statement. Floppy knits, fedoras, or beanies are some of the stars of this fall also. Moreover, as a nice change to the colorful patterns you are probably used to by now, this fall fashion designers recommend you wear classic prints. We could mention houndstooth, for starters. And going to the office dressed in such a pattern is definitely going to be the new IT thing, especially if you are already a huge fan of menswear and you like to always add a professional touch to your outfits. Think of houndstooth as a natural and wear it with pretty much everything. And if you need some help with building your budget for your brand new outfits, these next few lines should help you make some simple earnings while doing some of the things you enjoy doing most online: gambling or betting on your favorite sports or sportsmen.

Try Your Luck

The Internet is full of many gambling sites. If you ever tried to choose one company, you probably know that it is not an easy task, especially if you are a novice. So, if you are looking for a good online bookmakers, poker room or a casino, you should do some research before you make your decision. You can look for some information on the Internet or ask your friends for advice. It is also advisable to read users’ reviews and opinions, but keep in mind sme fo these reviews and forum views might be biased.

However, remember that not all of them are objective and reliable. A good option is to choose one of the leading companies on the market, since they are trustworthy and professional partners. For instance, Australia online casino venues are some of the best alternatives at the moment, in terms of casino gambling over the web, of course. If you are searching or experienced sports betting venues, there are plenty of fine brands to choose from, so you should not worry too much about it. There are dozens of web site that are happily opening their arms to receive you, no matter where you might be coming from. They are definitely worth recommending, since they provide professional service and high level of security. What is more, they care for their customers’ satisfaction and are constantly developing their products and services.

Product Review: Exposed Skincare, The Cure For Acne?

♥ Exposed Skincare Range

Clean and clear – that’s all I ask. And as someone who has suffered from acne since the age of 13, I don’t think it’s too much to ask, now that I’m 36 and still categorise myself as ‘blemish prone’. Possibly like many others, I thought I’d grow out of it, and there have been times when no-one would ever suspect I battle with problem skin – particularly when I was pregnant, but since staying constantly pregnant is not an option – I’ve had to search far and wide for assistance to keep the zits at bay for many years.

Yes, I am one of those people who has literally tried everything on the market, topical and medical, including two courses of the strongest dermatologist prescribed treatment there is – Roaccutane at the ages of 17 and 30. Great when you’re on it – not so great when you’re not – and once again, not something you can take forever.

So what next? Enter Exposed Skincare!

Never heard of it? Well neither had I until one day when google searching for ‘acne treatments that actually work’.

Of course I was skeptical, as someone who had seen and heard all the sales pitches before – the perfect balance of science and nature, clear skin in 30 days guaranteed, special introductory offer etc etc, plus hello, you can only get it in America – got to be a farce, right?

So what made me try it – and love it, to the point that I felt the need to write this article and share my experience?

♥ Picture from the Exposed Skincare website!

♥ Firstly, no celebrity endorsements, but real success stories – I did the research on the people they promote as their ‘Exposed users.’

♥ Secondly they told me if I sent them my empty bottles of any other acne products I’d tried, I’d get $25 dollars off the next purchase,

♥ And thirdly they offered a one year money back guarantee. Now I’ve heard of 30 day or 60 day money back offers, but one year was quite persuasive!

So clearly I took the plunge and signed up for the ‘Exposed Advantage’ and have kept my purchasing account going for just over two years.

But what about the results I hear you screaming! Well I can’t claim to be completely blemish-free and every monthly cycle still presents those hormonal spots – but I can absolutely say that Exposed does do what it says it will do.

♥ Just one of the natural ingredients in the range – green tea!

It does treat active acne and prevent bumps from coming up in the first place. It combines those active ingredients (salicylic acid) and a range of natural botanical ingredients like sage extract, green tea, tea tree oil, licorice root and passion flower, that work well enough to do the job, without drying or irritating your skin.

It does unclog your pores, regulate oil production and calm redness – fast! And yes I did indeed see a difference in my skin in just 30 days.

So if you’ve got a similar story to mine and feel like you’ve tried everything – I’d say try this. For me it’s worth the $49.95 plus $19.95 shipping charges, to be sent out from the USA by Fed Ex direct to my door, every three to four months. I’ve spent a lot more on other products and medications that don’t last as long and have done a lot less.

Hope it works for you too.

Product Review: Lapurete Okuru Protective Day Cream – Natures Botox Alternative?

I love trying new skincare and when the chance to try something that claims to be “Nature’s Botox Alternative” I got a little excited. Since turning the big 30 last year I’ve been more attentive to products with anti-ageing ingredients to keep me looking as young as possible!

The Lapurete range is said to target all signs of ageing including; expression lines, sagging skin, age spots, dryness, eye bags, dark circles, enlarged pores and UVA damage. Whilst I certainly don’t have all these skin concerns I figure prevention is better than a cure!

Okuru plant being harvested

The magic ingredient that Lapurete use is Okuru, a plant grown in Africa that has been used for centuries for it’s nutritional and healing benefits. Lapurete’s research has found that the peptides contained in the seeds can minimise expression lines in a similar way to Botox, without the need for injections!

The Protective Day Crème that I trialed contains the Okuru plus Sweet Pea and Marine extracts to increase firmness and elasticity of the skin. The crème itself is light and pleasantly fragranced. It seemed to moisturise and hydrate my skin well without making me too oily. I would say it’s suitable for most skin types, except really oily. Whilst I don’t have any major skincare concerns such as fine lines and sagging I did find that after using daily it did seem to brighten my complexion, freshen and smooth my skin. The two bonuses for me were that it contained UVA defense (if you’re outside for long periods I would still wear a broad spectrum sunscreen!) and it had no nasty ingredients such as parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, and petrochemicals (a super plus for me!).

The full set of Lapurete prodz

Whether it lived up to it’s claim of being “Natures Botox” I’m still not sure yet. Maybe I need to use it a little longer, or fingers crossed it’s because I don’t need botox yet. But I know that I would rather try a topical cream that costs way less than expensive and invasive needles first.

What would you rather do?

Check out the full Okuru range at www.lapurete.com.au and at major pharmacies.

RRP is $59.95.

Made with Love: Home Made Smelly Things to Make You Feel Good – Part 1.

♥ ♥

I’ve always been intrigued by the senses we have, and losing even one would be life changing. No tasting mum’s cooking, no watching your favourite trash TV, no cuddling with your dog and feeling how soft his ears are, no listening to your girlfriends re-cap a bad date, no smelling the roses/the coffee/clean laundry.

Which is why I think we should make the most of our senses and push them to the sensory limits.

My grandad went blind a few years ago. He was a computer nut, a woodworker and loved watching the cricket at the WACA. Fast forward to now, his life is completely different. Really, all he wants is a good nights’ sleep because the sun no longer controls his body clock.

This got me thinking about ways to relax and calm the mind to drift off to sleep when you’re limited by the senses you do, or don’t, have. I always breathe very deeply to fall asleep, so to enhance the benefits of focusing on breathing for relaxation I started to look into aromatherapy.

After all my research, I ended up realising I’d get more bang for my buck making a few different natural products if I was going to invest in essential oils and other aromatherapy supplies. The three below work out as nice cost-effective Christmas presents if you make them in bulk (around 10 or more of each) and use similar essential oils in each.

“Dream On” Pillow Spray
Lavender, orange & lemongrass

According to Smell Boffins & Researchers, lavender produces calming, soothing and sedative effects when the scent is inhaled. Lemongrass revitalises the body and relieves the symptoms of jetlag, clears headaches and helps to combat exhaustion and stress-related conditions. Just what grandpa ordered!

You will need:
♥ Lavender essential oil
♥ Orange essential oil
♥ Lemongrass essential oil
♥ Water
♥ 30-50mL plastic spray bottle (re-use an old hair product container, or buy new)

This is dead easy. Fill the bottle up to about 1cm from the top (excl. where the cap screws on). Either straight from the bottles, or using a pipette, add:

6ish drops of Lavender
4ish drops of Orange
4ish drops of Lemongrass.

You might need more if you’re bottle is bigger than about 50mL, or if you want a bit more oomph!
Shake well, spritz on pillows and bed linen, sleep tight all night!

Stay tuned for 2 more posts and yummy recipes to try! x
