Beauty Product Review: Clarisonic Mia AKA My One Way Ticket to Smooth Skin?

♥ Clarisonic Mia, what a cutie!

After hearing about this mythical, magical, dream skincare appliance by the name of Clarisonic for many years, I finally got the opportunity to road test it’s baby sister, Clarisonic Mia, and the results have me seriously impressed after just one use!

Clari-what now? Sonic skin cleansing?

Clarisonic is the unique sonic skin cleansing system that has taken the beauty world by storm, their website states:

“The Sonic Skin Cleansing System uses a patented sonic frequency of more than 300 movements per second to clean, soften and smooth your skin. In just 60 seconds a day, the micro-massage action cleans more than twice as effectively as manual cleansing.”

Claimed benefits:

♥ Removes 6x more makeup than manual cleansing
♥ Leaves skin feeling and looking smoother
♥ Cleanses so well that products absorb better
♥ Gentle enough for twice daily use
♥ Helps reduce oily areas, dry skin patches and blemishes
♥ Helps reduce the appearance of visible pores

After one use my skin (which is normal-dry-acne prone, better known as extremely difficult) feels smoother than it has in a long, long time and also quickly absorbed my favourite natural serum, rosehip oil, which always makes my skin glow. So far that’s 2/6!

I will post a thorough review in one month, but for now… I’m a convert!

The Clarisonic Mia comes in this gorgeous range of colours… unfortunately it’s only available in white in Australia at the moment. Hopefully the other colours start filtering through, I’m quite fond of the pastel purple myself!

Clarisonic Mia + sample cleanser is available for $179
Clarisonic Classic Skincare System is available for $249

Clarisonic is available in Australia from David Jones, Myer, Priceline and selected pharmacies as well as Adorebeauty.com.au

Have you got a Clarisonic, or ever wanted to try it out? Which colour is your favourite?

Be well,

Annette

I really want to get one of these! I love the yellow and the aqua colours. The Mia is pretty affordable for some reason I thought they were $300+ here in Oz. I might add this to my xmas list!! Can’t wait for your review xo

I’m very much intrigued! Did your skin feel sensitive afterwards or just pleasantly cleansed? If it helps rosehip absorb better, I might just have to try it out πŸ˜‰

Ladies! I can’t recommend this enough, I am having some fabulous results with it. Granted previously I was doing a pretty poor job of cleansing my face day and night so now my skin must be thoroughly confused as to why it’s all of a sudden clean and smooth with breakouts very diminished.

Hannah, this one is the baby sister of Clarisonic and will be available on Adore Beauty really soon at the above rate πŸ™‚ Or you can head in store to check it out. You do need to change the head every few months or so… mine is already a bit smelly so I think I need to do a better job of soaking it / cleaning it out.

Sabine, the first time I used it my face was tingling for a few minutes and it was an odd sensation! After that one time though it doesn’t anymore, and it just feels thoroughly cleaned and not sensitive at all.

I have combo skin, prone to breakouts on the t-zone, a fairly dry forehead and normal-ish cheeks.

I have been taking some naturopathic remedies for a little while, but this has been the biggest thing that I’ve noticed has improved my skin since I’ve started using it with my Ren Clearcalm Cleanser!!!

If you ever have any questions please let me know πŸ™‚ xo

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for recommending this beautiful little thing! After reading your review, then reading a billion other gushing reviews I had been keen to try one for a while, but a little hesitant because i have tricky skin which I have been fighting with especially over the past year.
well i finally bit the bullet and bought myself a pink one and i’m in LOVE with the little lady! my husband put it perfectly – “seems like a lot of money for a little buzzy thing but your skin is looking so much better!” all the things i used to hate about my skin i’m now loving – so many less pimples (and they don’t turn into big nasties if they do pop up), it’s so much brighter and clearer and softer and dewy and NICE! i use it in the shower in the morning with my honey cleanser, and at night i use the oil cleansing method with jojoba oil – was a bit unsure if it would work with the oil but it works brilliantly!

so thank you for introducing us πŸ™‚

I stumbed across your review a couple of months ago and decided to invest in a Mia. I’m based in Melbourne so bought it from http://www.faceache.com.au for about 125 bucks . My first impressions were is this going to do more harm than good to my skin but after the first couple of tries I have to say i’m sooo impressed. It really has improved my skin , reduced blemishes and reduced visible pores. I personally use a different Elemis cleaser with the Mia as i think it works better but its a personal choice.
I have even encouraged my partner to giove it a try so i might have to buy him for Xmas as long as I dont tell his mates
