Beauty & Wellbeing Crushes: Vanessa Megan’s Anti-Ageing Serum, Cacao Butter Buttons, Hungry for Change & More!

Vanessa Megan Anti-Ageing Serum

After stumbling across the econest.blogspot.com.au, I have become increasingly obsessed with natural skincare. The past few weeks have seen me slowly replace my old products in favour of natural and chemical free alternatives! One product Iโ€™m currently crushing on is Vanessa Meganโ€™s Kakadu Plum Anti-ageing Serum. Natural and organic, the serum is full of vitamin C and a super hydrating marine algae. Both ingredients help with evening out skin tone, elasticity and reduce sagging. The serum is silky smooth, non greasy and easy to apply, whooop! Read more about it here!

Raw Cacao Butter Buttons

Another natural product I am currently fixated on (and using in every way possible) are these organic raw cacao butter buttons I found at the Fremantle Markets last weekend. Traditionally used in the kitchen for baking or chocolate making, Iโ€™ve been using these little babies in the bathroom instead!

Popping a handful, about 8, buttons into a hot bath makes for a heavenly bathing experience! Bonus- not only do you get out feeling extra hydrated and smooth, but also smelling like delicious chocolatey goodness ๐Ÿ˜€ YUMM! These can also be used in the shower. Run under hot water and when semi melted you can rub them all over your skin!

English Tea Shop Teas

I have a slight obsession with teaโ€ฆ and by slight I mean MASSIVE :p Needless to say I couldnโ€™t contain my excitement after spotting this new range of teas at my local grocer. The range boasts both organic and fair-trade varieties and priced at $5 for a box of 20 bags is an absolute bargain! My favourite is the rooibos with a teaspoon of Natvia. A delicious guilt free sweet treat for any time of day ๐Ÿ™‚

Hungry For Change

Iโ€™ve lent my copy of this DVD out to so many people that a friend had to write a โ€˜this belongs toโ€™ tag on the inside cover! The film explores a simple and common sense approach to healthy eating and will change the way you think about food forever. The film also explores the concept of eating for beauty- a topic that will be of interest to all! Check it out at http://www.hungryforchange.tv

Healthy Food Blogs

The mouth-watering photos on this blog (http://wholepromise.blogspot.com.au/) will make you want to make every single recipe (Iโ€™ve already bookmarked half, not kidding!) Drool then carry on. Nough said.

This weeks crushes are brought to you courtesy of Kavisha.

Just wanted to say, thank you for suggesting the Whole Promise blog. I have just started to try and eat more whole/raw/healthy foods and am absolutely LOVING this blog! I already want to make so many of the recipes – they all look and sound amazing! ๐Ÿ™‚

Yum to the chocolate!! The Vanessa Megan Kakadu Plum serum is amazing! Kakadu plums contain more vitamin C than around 50 regular sized oranges-they’re a crazy little super plant and beta glucan is known as nature’s botox so it’s pretty jam packed with the good stuff! xxx

  4. Genius – cacao buttons in the bath love it, thanks for the serum idea too, have been pondering what to replace my Simplicite Results Lift Gel with when it is finished, this sounds perfect ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve got both the Rooibos and Calming English Tea shop teas on the go at the moment too! What are the cacao buttons like if you eat them? Desperate for a sugar free choc (can’t do agave or coconut sugar even). I’m loving Turban Chopsticks range for a quick healthy supper. Just had the red lentil dhal with tons of fresh veggies yum ๐Ÿ™‚

Cass- I made the banana gingerbread bread the other week and it was divine!

Karen- Do not eat the cacao buttons raw! I had a little nibble and they tasted all waxy :S Definitely not as good as they smell ๐Ÿ˜› You can make your own chocolate with the buttons through and no need to add any sugar if you don’t want to. It’s super easy and will take about 15 mins. Possible future article Annette ๐Ÿ™‚

Karen, I’ve never tried any of the Turban Chopsticks meals but you may have just convinced me! Xx

Popping cocoa butter buttons in a bath has to be the most amazing idea I’ve heard in a while ๐Ÿ™‚ Bring on smelling like a chocolate treat!
