Daily Wellness Routine: Jessie Stoelwinder, Jessie Stoelwinder, Yoga Teacher & Lifestyle Reporter for The West Australian.

First up, briefly tell us a bit about yourself and what you do!

I’ve been a journalist for The West Australian for nine years now, working across entertainment, arts and more recently all things lifestyle and wellness. I really love to champion local people doing cool things, and am always on the hunt for the latest phenomena and trends to test out.

Outside work, I have a keen interest in spirituality and I’m now a registered yoga teacher after completing my 200-hour vinyasa yoga teacher training with The Yoga Vine. I’m planning to further deepen these learnings in 2021 with yin and breathwork courses and I can’t wait to share my passion with others.

What time do you wake up most days and how many hours of sleep do you aim for?

Getting at least eight hours of sleep is a non-negotiable for me, and hugely affects my focus and creativity. I have a personal alarm clock in the form of my four-year-old daughter, who often wakes me up between 6-7am.

What’s your morning routine to set you up for a great day?

Establishing a really solid morning routine is still in progress for me! When I’m in a good rhythm, I brush my teeth, drink a big glass of water, meditate and read before Winter wakes up. This makes such a huge difference to my day. I love the framework set out in The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod, which also includes journaling, a form of exercise like yoga, affirmations and visualisation, so it’s a goal of mine to incorporate more of these elements into my everyday morning routine this year.

♥ Cacao Collective

Describe a typical day of eating for you.

After a long and difficult path to healing my relationship with food, I’ve found that intuitive eating works best for my body. That usually ends up being some form of intermittent fasting until around 11am, but if I am hungry I will eat before that. My diet is 99 per cent vegan and I focus on packing as much nourishment into my meals as I can so they are dense and full of vitamins. Lots of vegetables, hummus, hemp seeds, homemade bliss balls, sourdough bread, smoothie bowls, legumes and some tofu are all staples for me – but I love chocolate and a good burger in equal measure! I have one-two coffees per day with macadamia or oat milk, and recently have become addicted to ceremonial cacao from The Cacao Collective.

Tell us about your daily beauty routine! What are your non-negotiables for looking and feeling your best?

I’m sure many mums can relate when I say I sometimes cut corners when it comes to my skincare routine! But the products I swear by are Fancy Face oil cleanser, Exfoliating Swipeys and Face Hero from Go-To, serums from The Ordinary and good old Cetaphil cleanser in the shower. Last year one of my goals was to wear sunscreen every day, and my favourite is Queen Screen from Ultra Violette.

It’s really important to me to use brands that don’t test on animals and use vegan ingredients as much as possible. I’ve swapped a lot of my beauty products because of this, and my favourite brands are Too Faced (Born This Way concealer and foundation, Better Than Sex mascara), Mecca Max (glow sticks and palettes) and Hourglass (eyebrow pencil).

Do you take any supplements, vitamins or special wellness elixirs? If so, we’d love to know!

Currently, I take iron, magnesium, a probiotic and Blackmores Sugar Balance.

What are your top 3 wellness non-negotiables?

1. Yoga classes as many days of the week as I can manage – the practise has such a profound impact on my mood, how I feel in my body and overall wellness.

2. Fresh air, sunshine and nature – they are all free, instant mood boosters and we are so lucky to have them in abundance here in Perth.

3. Sleep – without it, nothing else is possible.

Your absolute favourite healthy cafe in Perth is?

Flora and Fauna in Northbridge or Manna Wholefoods in South Fremantle.

What’s your fitness routine & favourite way to get sweaty and where’s your go-to?

I firmly believe that the best exercise is the kind you enjoy. For me, that’s yoga and I take classes depending on how I feel that day – a mix of vinyasa, hatha, slow flow, yin and restorative. My favourite studios are Soft Yoga, Beyond Being, Nature of Self, Mudra, Yab Yum, Vital Beat and Cntre Space. Otherwise, I love walking and getting out on hiking trails. When I am doing both yoga and walking regularly I find that’s all I need to feel strong, flexible and well in my body.strong, flexible and well in my body.

If you could only wear one brand of activewear for the rest of your life it would be…

Lululemon, the Align pants are the comfiest around.

What’s the one beauty or wellness treatment you can’t live without? And your favourite place to have it done?

Massages are definitely my guilty pleasure and something I will splurge on every so often. BODHI’s new Cottesloe retreat is gorgeous and so serene. I also recently discovered Heartwood and their facial was the best I’ve ever experienced, they use local sandalwood in their products and have lots of unique touches, like their playlists and post-treatment bliss balls.

Are you into any woo-woo wellness trends?

Yes, big time! This is my happy place. I get my tarot read once a year and it’s always been eerily accurate, and also have a deck at home. There are crystals all around my house, I use palo santo and white sage to cleanse the air and adore incense and candles. This past year I have tried a range of alternative healing methods, from reiki to breathwork, sound healing, acupuncture, chanting, group meditation and plant medicine and loved them all for different reasons. It’s an area I hope to expand my own learnings in as I feel intuitively drawn to natural and mystical practises.

♥ Anna Balston // Rhythmkeeper

What’s your dream wellness vacay?

Past trips to Bali have always been wonderful for the amazing yoga and wellness offerings there. Also the vegan food is out of this world!

But until the international borders re-open, there are so many local business and yoga studios running wellness retreats. I am going on one soon led by Anna Balston and I can’t wait – it’s the perfect counteractive for the soul.

And lastly… do you have any top secret tips you use to keep looking / feeling great?

It sounds cliche, but meditation and yoga are the ultimate tools for self-awareness and compassion. The more we can learn to cultivate acceptance and love within ourselves, the easier it is to live in alignment with our values and optimum health. Also recognising that we are all different has been huge in my personal wellness journey. I gravitate towards enjoyment with everything I do now – whether that’s food, movement or other health practises – and that’s made a huge impact on the way I move through life.

Daily Wellness Routine: Carla Thomas, Holistic Health Coach & Podcast Co-Host at The C-Word.

First up, briefly tell us a bit about yourself and what you do!

Thank you so, so much for taking the time to learn about me! I really hope you’ll find joy and inspiration in what you read and you’ll want to learn more. I’m a Perth-based Holistic Health Coach with a specialisation in mind-body medicine. I’ve been working in the field for close to 11 years now and have had the pleasure of coaching 100’s of people, both one-on-one and in groups, in improving their long-term health and wellbeing. I am a published author, wellness speaker and educator, and founder of The Juicy Movement, a holistic health collective. In 2019, along with by co-host Cal O’Connell, we launched our Perth-focused health and wellness podcast, The C-Word. I’m also a proud ambassador of wellness and nutritional brands I personally love and use daily. These are Juice Plus+, Life Cykel, PuraU, Gevity Rx, and Antipodes. You can also find me on fitness and wellbeing app KIXXFIT. And working with the team at Perth’s premiere wellness space, MindBody Lounge. My mission is to empower you to release your natural potential for wellness through wholefood nutrition, holistic practices of self-care and living within your values to show you how easy it is to look and feel A-MAZ-ING.

What time do you wake up most days and how many hours of sleep do you aim for?

Most days anywhere between 5-5.45am as I truly believe in getting the most out of your day and starting before the rest of the world wakes up. I aim for the recommended average of 7-8 hours but generally get closer to 6.5-7 hours.

♥ Cold Nips!

What’s your morning routine to set you up for a great day?

Based on Monday – Friday, I’ll always splash cold water on my face to wake up and then hit the kitchen to guzzle down a good 500-750ml of water with fresh lemon juice and my morning supplements. I’ll then grab a teaspoon of coconut oil for 5-20 mins of oil pulling while I roll the yoga mat out for a stretch and foam roll to some music. That’s usually followed by 15-20 minutes of priming and meditation before I make my Fully Charged Coffee and then hit the home office, read my vision board and get stuck into some work before hitting the gym!

On alternative days I’ll head straight to the river post water + supplement guzzle to walk the dog instead while listening to some sort of inspiring or educational podcast at the same time. Once home, I’ll make my coffee, read my vision board and then it’s time to start work. In February 2019 I cottoned onto the Cold Nips crew Wednesday morning dips & sips and that gives me an INCREDIBLE start and feel to the day! As you can tell – my morning routines are SUPER important to me as part of my set up for a successful day ☺

Describe a typical day of eating for you.

I’m a two meal a day eater and have been for some time. This suits my particular body, appetite and lifestyle well. I usually don’t eat breakfast until somewhere between 9am-10am and it’s usually a jam-packed green smoothie or simple brekky bowl with a cup of green tea. I’m a very slow and conscious eater so it usually takes me between 30-45 minutes to finish. On weekdays I’m at my desk so I’m distracted too. I’ll usually make a black coffee around 2-3pm with the addition of some coconut oil and drops of Life Cykel mushroom liquid tincture and maybe snack on some nuts and seeds or even a couple of traditional quality dried pears or peaches drizzled in tahini.

Dinner is somewhere between 6-7pm (depending on the season, generally even later in summer as I tend to make the most of the sunshine!) and is always plant based be that hot or cold veggies/salad with some sort of vegetarian protein like legumes or quinoa or tofu most of the time and a couple of nights I aim for oily fish like sardines or mackerel or salmon. I generally save seafood or animal options for eating out socially. At the end of the day, I’m an intuitive eater. I eat according to what my body truly wants and needs and when it does. I treat it well, so it craves the right things 90% of time.

Tell us about your daily beauty routine! What are your non-negotiables for looking and feeling your best?

I truly believe that beauty starts from the inside out and that we should prioritise ‘eating ourselves gorgeous’ ahead of investing in ‘fix it’ products first. I’m blessed with great skin and always have been, but in your 30’s you begin to notice changes. I keep it simple, as it’s more for proactive care and maintenance vs anything else. I opt to use what I can from my fridge and pantry using recipes from our ‘Beauty-full Inside + Out’ eBook that’s part of The Juicy Life Program, otherwise my go-to’s are rosehip oil, coconut and hemp oil for the face, sugar and coconut oil scrubs for the entire body and face once a week, dry body brush pre shower at night, regular sweats to detox via exercise and saunas and steam rooms, ocean dips and rubbing ice on my face and under the eyes morning and night, sunshine, good sleep, being happy and smiling and laughing and enjoying life! Product wise, I take wholefood supplements and absolutely LOVE the Antipodes Skincare range that suits my needs and lives happily in my bathroom cupboard! All plant based and almost edible ☺ Oh and I mix coconut oil with my body moisturiser in my hands before applying at night too!

♥ Refresh Juice Cleanse

Do you take any supplements, vitamins or special wellness elixirs? If so, we’d love to know!

I sure do! Don’t get me wrong my diet and lifestyle is fantastic and above the average person, but I’m still not perfect and on the mark every day and I’m still living in a modern world so am aware there are multiple factors that can affect my level of health and wellbeing. I’m allll about a PROACTIVE vs fix it approach! I have used Juice Plus+ for over 11 years now as my daily supplement and also as my plant based smoothie/shake powder of choice. I also use the Life Cykel liquids as mentioned earlier and the PuraU Gut Cleanse Kit on the regular as a maintenance vs fix it approach. I hit up my naturopath, Kat Blake of Invigorate Naturopathy, time to time for a herbal elixir to promote good rest and sleep. And 2-3 times a week I take a charcoal tablet to help eliminate any bugs/toxins that may be lingering in the gut. Now that I’m in my 30’s I’m conscious of consuming more collagen via powder form and I’ll often add that to a smoothie along with magnesium powder and gelatin powder. And I do a one day Juice Cleanse once a month with @refresh.juice.cleanse too. Oh and I am starting to use and appreciate the benefits of CBD oil.

Do you have an evening wind-down ritual?

Yes, I definitely do! I LOVE and crave my nightly cup of tea and it’s always something herbal like chamomile, peppermint or lemon + ginger etc and I’ll pair that with some dark chocolate, some mixed berries and some kefir. That’s usually for the couch while I watch something to unwind and then I’ll hit the bathroom to do my nighttime beauty routine. I enjoy taking my time with this (you know – cleanse and moisturise and brush the teeth). A couple nights a week I’ll brush my teeth with charcoal, too (thanks to @my.moondust) I’ll also rub a mix of magnesium oil and cream (I use @lifewithmagnesium) on my feet, calves and neck/shoulders to promote relaxation and sleep. Once in bed I inhale some lavender oil I keep on my bedside table, maybe pop the oil diffuser on and read a few affirmations from a book and do some quick gratitude and then it’s book time and before long I’m out! I also sleep with a yoni egg in 2-3 times a week. Suggest following @rosie.rees to learn more on this!

What’s your fitness routine & favourite way to get sweaty and where’s your go-to?

Ohh I have a few things I love to do as having a variety keeps it interesting and also works your body in different ways! I used to be a dancer so moving on the daily is a non-negotiable for me! I’ll generally run three times a week (I’m a treadmill gal so I can adjust the incline and sprint/jog speed), I do mat Pilates every so often with @mvmtsociety, Jungle Body once a week with @_thejunglebodywithbec_, yoga 2-3 times a week with Flow Space Perth and I try to get a @bikebarfitness class in every couple of weeks. And then most days I get the dog out be it a half hour walk on the path or running him at the dog park while I enjoy some earthing on the grass. I love my coast walks too. So yes – I keep active! But I also have the energy, fitness and healthy body to do so due to the commitment I make to fueling right and recovering right.

Are you into any woo-woo wellness trends? (think crystals, sageing, tarot cards etc)

Well when I first started in the area of holistic health over 10 years ago it was called woo woo! I think (and I have this conversation frequently with other wellness friends and colleagues) that I’m a good mix of straight and sideways. I use a yoni egg 2-3 times a week and also keep a stone on my bedside table that I sleep with under my pillow. They are lilac in colour and purple (amethyst) is my birthstone so it’s what I’ve always been intuitively drawn to anyway. I have really gotten into astrology and horoscopes even more so than I already was over the last couple of years and began to start learning more about moon tracking over the past year too. I definitely believe in all of that in terms of energy and retrogrades etc and how that affects us, along with the weather (if it’s a night where it’s humid and has that level of intense, electric air I’ll wake up in the middle of the night and not be able to get back to sleep very hot and restless – so I joke I’m slightly witchy because I can tell from that a storm is coming and I’m always right!) Otherwise even if I don’t do it or haven’t felt the need, I absolutely believe in healers, tarot cards, sageing etc

And lastly… do you have any top secret tips you use to keep looking / feeling great?

Happiness. You can follow every single trend and tip and trick under the sun but if you aren’t living your life according to your values, passions, beliefs, calling and ultimate truth, you will never truly reach and fulfill your ultimate level of health and wellbeing.

Thanks for hanging out with us Carla! Don’t forget to follow her on Instagram to keep up with her wellness journey 🙂

Be well,

xoxo

Four Skincare Products to Obsess Over this Summer

While glowing skin is in all year round, our WA summer brings its own set of challenges. With the scorching heat, daily drenchings with salty sea water, sweat, and maybe even a bit too much debauchery (naturally), your delicate skin can easily be thrown out of sorts during our favourite season.

To help inspire your skincare routine this summer, I’ve rounded up a list of 4 products (internal & external) that are going to be on heavy rotation for me over the coming months – and chat about why I’m trusting these particular skin saviours to keep me glowing and fresh through the inevitable heat waves to come!

Go-To ‘Fancy Face’ Nourishing Oil Cleanser – $45

Since I bought this baby approximately 6 months ago, it has been partying with my skin on a twice-daily basis. I’m a two showers a day kinda gal, and this product is the first one I reach for when I jump in. With it’s dreamy, subtly floral scent, easy-breezy squirty-pumpy application, and deliciously nourishing formula – hi approximately 3 trillion good-for-ya-skin oils – this one is a sure fire winner for my skin as it melts away any dirt / makeup / whoknowswhat and leaves it looking and feeling freshly plump and glowing every time.

Did I forget to mention that the bottle is cute and I feel cool using it. Well both of these things are true. Perfect to use after a long day at the beach, too.

The Beauty Chef Collagen Inner Beauty Boost – from $25

I’m a MASSIVE fan of internal skincare + wellness. Set me loose in the supplement section of any store and there’s no way I’m leaving without at least one new product that claims to nourish me from within and provide some new life-altering benefit that I won’t be able to live without moving forward.

Call me a sucker if you will. Some girls like shoes, I like supplements.

The Beauty Chef vegan collagen drink has been a long time favourite of mine in this category, with just a tablespoon needed daily, and the delicious berry taste that will dance with your taste buds like Someone Who is a Really Cool Dancer, you wont find it hard to add this one into your daily routine.

It’s packed full of collagen supporting goodness such as Vitamin C, fermented berries that are meant to be amazing for your gut (and in turn your skin), sea minerals, goji powder, gotu kola, grapeseed, pomegranate, a skin-specific probiotic strain and WAY too many more to mention, you’ll definitely feel like you’re doing your skin a massive favour.

I find I need to take it for at least 3-4 weeks consistently to start noticing a difference in my ‘glow’, which is consistent with most research that I’ve read on supplements and lifestyle changes in general. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this product for daily use, and if you stick to it – you’ll reap the radiant rewards.

ESK Hydroxy Overnight Mask – $50

If you’re looking for a hardworking overnight hero, then you can’t go past this salicylic acid based mask.

Perfect for a wide range of skin types, from oily to acne prone to sun damaged to sensitive, this overnight wonder-mask is a fantastic once-a-week addition to your nightly skincare routine to ensure your skin is soft & glowing by morning.

It works by slowly dissolving dead skin cells and excess keratin while you sleep – you’ll be having sweet skin dreams in no time!

I have a bit of a plan for my night time skincare – 2 x a week I use a nourishing oil, 2 x a week I use something a little more active (like this mask!), 3 x a week I give my skin a breather. I always use this mask the night after I’ve used one of the oils, as I feel it works best that way, and can then dissolve any mini dead skin cell clogs that may have occurred over the previous 24 hours.

Melrose Organic 3-6-7-9 Omega Oil – from $16.95

I like to think of this product as one of my little secrets. In the name of complete honesty, I’ve actually fallen off the omega oils wagon recently, but I’m jumping back on today and am going to make sure I take my daily tablespoon because the health, hormone & skin benefits are far too good to not.

So why am I including this in my summer skincare roundup? Well, as mentioned above, it’s all well and good (and definitely important) to apply external skincare, but in reality, the major skin improvement benefits will always come from what we put in our body.

Particularly for vegans & vegetarians, if you aren’t taking an omega supplement – your skin and health will suffer. I really like the Melrose blend as it contains the exact ratio of omega 3, 6, 7 & 9 oils that optimally support human health.

During summer, it’s especially important, as the skin is more prone to dryness and sunburn – ensuring an adequate daily supply of omega oils will support your glow, minimise dryness and just generally keep your skin in good shape.

As an added bonus, I personally find that my hormones balance out realllllly well when I’m taking this daily, my libido fires up like crazy (omega 3 is the building block of sex hormones in men & women), my brain feels like it’s working better – kinda like a well oiled car, and I recover from exercising a lot quicker, so honestly – what’s not to love?

Head on over to the @wellnesswa Instagram to let me know what you think – what are your favourite products during summer?

Wellness-Infused Valentines Day Gifts for 2021!

With 2021 shaping up to be a crazy little year already (hello snap lockdown, fires and floods), there’s never been a better time to prioritise love, self-care and

Whether you’re celebrating valentines, gal-entines, pal-entines or treat yourself to some Cristal-entines (?), this list of fun gifts will have you or your pressie recipient feeling the LOVE this February 14th. And while we agree that you should show yourself and your nearest and dearest love EVERY day of the year, we also think it’s nice to have a little space carved out in the calendar that’s dedicated solely to the L word.

La Loba Cliterally Amazing Clit Oil – $24

What better place to start on the day of love than right with your own body? Designed for people with clits, this lush oil smells like a delicious chai tea (seriously, the smell is amaze). Use the dropper to apply 1-2 drops to your (or someone else’s) body, wait a few minutes and then enjoy the warm, tingly sensations. Fun to use for self-pleasure, partner-pleasure – particularly oral sex – or just because, when I first bought this product from the cuties at Soft Yoga Perth, I would NOT stop raving about it to everyone that crossed my path. The obsession remains. Do yourself a big favour, at $24, it’s well worth the investment.

Couples Massage

People have been showing their love for one another by sharing the gift of massage for almost as long as time itself. There’s nothing quite like the post-incredible-massage haze and deep sense of relaxation, so it makes sense that we would want to gift this feeling to someone we care about!

If you want to take it up a level, a couples massage involves both of you being massaged at the same time in the same room by two separate massage therapists, so you can bond over the mutual relaxation you’re both experiencing!

Most couples massages will end with a cup of tea and some snacks in a cosy room to keep the bliss going just a little bit longer.

Our top recommendations are Endota Spa Perth CBD, Bigfoot Massage in Northbridge, Bodhi J, Como Shambhala in the city, and Crown Spa.

Peggy Sue’s Pink Vitamin C Serum

Your face shouldn’t miss out on the love this Val-day, and we think that one of the very best way to show your skin some TLC is with a natural Vitamin C serum – specifically this cute one from Peggy Sue!

Naturally coloured with dragonfruit extract, I’d say it’s pinkness compares to rose quartz, the Pink Vitamin C Serum is designed brighten, hydrate, and firm the skin. I can confirm that after using it my skin felt moisturised and not oily or sticky at all – which is ideal in a serum – and my daily facial sunscreen & makeup went on perfectly over the top.

Give the gift of glowing skin with this absolute babe of a product. Used daily, for at least two weeks, your skin will be feeling and looking its very best.

Higher Love by Jordanna Levin

This one is a great idea for your Gal-entines day or a night snuggled up at home on the couch with Uber Eats and a bottle of wine – introducing, Jordanna Levin and her make-your-heart-happy book, Higher Love.

A dating manual for the astrology-lovin’, crystal cleansing & soul-centred friends in your life – Jordanna promises to help you manifest more love in your life by upping your personal vibration to help attract the partner of your dreams.

And even if you’re already coupled up, you’ll enjoy this feel-good, self-love guidebook that will have you feeling more deeply connected to your heart.

Whatever you’re doing this Valentines / Galentines / Palentines / Icecream-in-bed-entines, we hope you enjoy showering yourself or someone else with love!

Be well,

xoxo

Beauty & Wellness Routine with Lucy Thomson from Lifestyle Lucy, Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor & Nutrition Advisor.

First up, briefly tell us a bit about yourself and what you do!

I was born in Spain and grew up in a combination of Spain, Bali and Australia. I am extremely passionate about all things health, fitness, food & nutrition. I recently lived in London for 5 years where I qualified as a Personal Trainer & Pilates instructor. I love to inspire others to become a stronger and better version of themselves both physically and mentally. I am a mobile personal trainer, so I bring the gym to you – in the privacy of your own home or local park! I also run outdoor Bootcamp classes at Allen Park in Swanbourne. My Bootcamp sessions are a full body, 45 minute workout that combines cardio, strength and endurance based exercises! They are a great way to start the day, outdoor in the fresh air – all fitness levels are welcome. In my down time I love to cook and dabble in a bit of blogging here and there. I love to share my recipe ideas with others over on my website – www.lifestylelucy.net!

Describe a typical day of eating for you (Drinks, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, dessert – the whole lot!)

It very much depends on the seasons. However at the moment, I am really enjoying smoothies for breakfast. In winter it’s a hearty bowl of porridge! I think smoothies are an amazing way to get an abundance of vitamins and minerals into one meal. My favourite combo at the moments is –

♥ Frozen blueberries
♥ ½ a frozen banana
♥ Chia seeds
♥ A large scoop of Chocolate protein powder ( I like Tropeaka or Raw protein)
♥ Psyllium husk
♥ A fresh knob of ginger
♥ Raw zucchini
♥ A handful of spinach
♥ Water or coconut water if I have any

Lunch varies depending on If I am at home or out and about – I love making a couple of big fresh salads at the start of the week that I can add some chicken to for lunch. I also love having eggs for lunch too! Dinner tends to be very similar to lunch – lots of veggies and wholesome ingredients with some protein on the side. Although I am not vegan, I try my best to make some delicious plant based meals each week as well.

Do you take any supplements, vitamins or special wellness elixirs? If so, we’d love to know!

Every morning I take Vital Greens powder mixed in warm water with a collagen powder (Nutra Organics). I then take a probiotic and Omega 3 supplement. I believe it is super important to nourish your body from the inside out!

Do you have an evening wind-down ritual?

Once my baby, Sophia, is asleep around 6pm, I clean up all of her toys and mess after a day of playing, I take a shower to freshen up and eat a wholesome home-cooked meal. I then try and cut out screens at least half an hour before I go to bed. I take an evening magnesium supplement (BioCeuticals) and rub lavender oil on my chest before jumping into bed with a good book.

What are your top 3 wellness non-negotiables?

I start my day with a greens powder as mentioned above and a huge glass of water! I also love my daily coffee, it’s something I look forward to every morning. A good coffee = a happy Lucy! I also apply SPF every day. My favourite brands are Edible Beauty SPF and Ultra Violette SPF drops. It is so important to protect your skin especially when living in Australia!

If you could only wear one brand of activewear for the rest of your life it would be…

Well that is easy – I live in Lululemon, always have and always will! It’s honestly the best quality activewear that is not only flattering with some great designs, but it also lasts for years!

What’s the one beauty or wellness treatment you can’t live without? And your favourite place to have it done?

I try to treat myself to a facial every quarter to give my skin a little bit of TLC! Facials are so relaxing and they are a nice way to switch off from the outside world too! My favourite place in Perth is Rationale in Subiaco – I love all their products!

What beauty treatment/ wellbeing activity would you love to try but haven’t got around to yet?

Skin needling, I am a little bit skincare obsessed and have always wanted to try skin needling! I’ve heard so many good things – maybe I should book myself in!?!

You’ve got a big event in 7 days time that you need to look incredible for. What’s your plan of attack to look & feel your absolute best?

Hydrate, hydrate and hydrate! I would also try to manage my stress levels and get as much sleep as possible – not always that easy with a 5 month old though!

What’s your dream wellness vacay?

Bali! My mum has been living in Bali for the last 20 years, it really is such a magical place with beautiful people – a place I call home. I love visiting her and the beautiful island, practicing yoga each day, eating wholesome foods and getting pampered!

Thank you Lucy! To find out more about Lucy, head to her website! And don’t forget to follow Wellness WA on Instagram for more wellness updates 🙂
